Ok I’m mixing things up this week. I’m inspired by my fellow blogger babe Reagan who shows her own outfits in her blogs.

I RARELY do this.

But this dress deserves its own blog.

I bought it last year from Target and I get compliments every single time I wear it.

I’ve mixed it with green, gold and also hot pink.

I was about to add gold accessories for a night out at one of my favorite rooftops, Whiskey Warehouse.

Then I came across these purple sandals I got last year from SHEIN and never wore.

I then pulled out my H&M $13 clearance purple bag I found last Summer in Raleigh. I’ve always loved the purple Fendi baguette Carrie Bradshaw was carrying when she was robbed so when I saw this dupe I had to have it. And I couldn’t pass up the price!

I completed the look with one of my most prized possessions, my Versace Cuban Chain and added my purple Versace sunnies.

I added a few spritzes of Dylan Purple by Versace I received in an influencer bag recently from Belk at Southpark.

I loved this color combo!! I felt so comfortable and it was perfect for a hot summer night.

Thank you to Reagan and all my other blogger babes that inspire me daily.

Lights…Camera…FASHION! Sex and The Queen City

Gallery

As a self proclaimed ‘Carrie’ I was over the moon to learn that one of my long time favorite designers Elisa Lopez would be designing a recycled line for the Charlotte Seen runway with a Sex and the City theme!

The show started with a couple of Very Carries.

A stunning Samantha came out next in sexy sequins.

This Old Hollywood look is definitely Charlotte.

Ending with a serious yet flirty Miranda.

This was so exciting for me because of my love for the show and my love for the upcycled creations from Elisa Lopez

Charlotte Seen And The Chocolate Factory

Dreams came true on the Charlotte Seen runway as Rita Miles presented Wonka, a fun filled, fashionable Candy Land delight.

The show took place at the incredible Creative Network Studios.

The multi talented Priyasha Dutta kicked things off as Wonka, selling Wonka Bars to the audience.

Inside five of the bars were Golden Tickets, which the winners cashed in for prizes.

Aurorah Mendez led us into the Chocolate Factory with a song.

We followed her lead through a magical land of colorful fashions.

Colorful explosions, tulle and top hats dominated the runway.

Even the tiny tots got into the spirit.

Come with me and you’ll be
In a world of pure imagination
Take a look and you’ll see
Into your imagination…

Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams

Gallery

The singer turned designer has a new collab.

This time it’s with the jewelry house Tiffany’s.

The collection incorporates sharp, spear-like spikes and is offered in 18k yellow gold and titanium.

With an unexpected twist on traditional diamond settings, the pavé pieces feature reverse-set diamonds that expose the diamond’s pavilion, maximizing brilliance and creating an edgy vibe.

The use of titanium serves as a contrast between the subdued reflective quality of the gold and diamonds.

“I’m very inspired by the water, and the name of this collection “Titan” draws inspiration from Poseidon, ruler of the sea, King of Atlantis – “Atlantis” which is also the name of the community I grew up in Virginia Beach” says Pharrell.

This is just the latest in a long line of collabs with the talented Williams. I’m looking forward to seeing more from the great mind of this designer .

Pride In Fashion

Fashion and Pride month go hand in hand.

I’m found pieces from 5 of my favorite designers that celebrate Pride Month.

1.Michael Kors:

I love the Y2K vibe from this Cora Medium Rainbow Logo Shoulder Bag.

2. Kendra Scott:

Kendra’s most well known and well loved Elisa Pendant Necklace takes on rainbow hues for this special piece.

Gucci:

See the world thru Rose colored(as well as other color) glasses with this fun pair of sunnies.

UGG:

Ugg partnered with comedian and author Alok Vaid-Menon to co-create the new URSeen collection for Pride 2024, celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community. Check out the fun, neon footwear!

Apple:

Apple continuously support a number of LGBTQ+ charities and communities, and release an Apple Watch band every year to celebrate Pride Month.

Love this braided band. To me it represents unity.

As a staunch Ally to the LGBTQ+ community I enjoy seeing designer support various causes through fashion. Whats your favorite Pride month look??

MET Me At The Mall

Gallery

A few weeks ago I wrote about some of my top designer picks from this year’s Met Gala.

Today I’m bringing you looks, not from high end designers, but from Mall Stores!

H&M dressed more people than Gucci and mall-mainstay Tommy Hilfiger was mentioned more on social media than Chanel during the red carpet.

Gap and Banana Republic also showed up on fashions most notable runway.

Awkwafina, Adwoa Aboah and Quannah Chasinghorse made amazing Sleeping Beauties in these H&M gowns.

Stefon Diggs and Victor Glemaud gave ‘Dapper Prince Charming’ thanks to H&M as well.

Zac Posen wore off the rack Banana Republic with new buttons.

And who can forget Da’Vine Joy Randolph in this breathtaking denim gown from Gap.

K Pop sensation Stray Kids made their Met Gala debut in Tommy Hilfiger.

Fashion isn’t always about high end labels. It’s about expressing yourself through style.

Coming Full (Target) Circle

Gallery

I’ve been following Jenee Naylor for years on YouTube and Instagram

When she first started her Blog HighLowLuxxe she was working as a Team Lead at Target.

She showcased her fashions in her blog and on her YouTube Channel mixing high end pieces with affordable options.

She eventually left her job at Target and went full time with her content creating.

Now, on May 19th, she is launching her very own collab with Target!

She describes her line as “Bitch at the ritz with a spritz…Boujee Resort Wear”

I’m showing a sneak peek of some of my favorite pieces from her Future Collective Collection.

This one shoulder top comes in animal print and white and is perfect for summer.

Denim is hot this year and this corset and flared leg denim combo will make you the center of attention.

Mix or match these pieces!

Love this peplum top! Again, dress it up or down!

These pops of color are fun!

This knit set is cute and comfy.

I’m totally crushing on this skirt!!!!

Jenee has always inspired me with her outfits. Now she’s inspired me with her goals!

Check out the full collection Here and tell me your favorite pieces!!!

From managing a Target to having a clothing line at Target, Jenee has truly come Full Circle.

The First Monday In May

Gallery

The fashionistas know what this signals. The annual Met Gala.

Each year, Celebs show up and show out in outfits for that years theme.

The Met Gala, formally called the Costume Institute Benefit, is an annual fundraising gala held for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Arts Costume Institute in Manhattan. The Met Gala is popularly regarded as the world’s most prestigious and glamorous fashion event and social gathering and is known as “fashion’s biggest night”;

This years theme was “Garden of Time” (inspired by a J.G. Ballard short story written in 1962). The event, which is tied to the Met’s Costume Exhibit, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” pays “tribute to the natural world,”

Here are my top 15 favorite looks from the Met Gala 2024.

1. Naomi Campbell in Burberry.

Campbell is the epitome of a spring shower. Setting the stage for a bouquet of lovely blossoms.

2. Lana Del Rey in Alexander McQueen.

This!!! This look is the most on theme to me. Absolutely stunning.

3. Amanda Seyfried in Chanel.

She looks like a patch of wildflowers, glistening under a silver moon.

4. Ariana Grande in Loewe and Lorraine Schwartz Jewelry.

Ariana channels a graceful swan in this gown.

5. Uma Thurman in Tory Burch and Fred Leighton Jewelry.

A vision in violet.

6. Teyana Taylor in The Blonds.

She fits right in with a deep, dark red rose garden.

7. Gigi Hadid in Thom Browne.

The beautiful Gigi looks elegant as usual as well as keeping on theme.

The removable skirt makes for a more comfortable evening while sticking with the theme.

8. Sarah Jessica Parker in Richard Quinn, Briony Raymond Jewelry, and Philip Treacy.

SJP never disappoints. Her look is reminiscent of dew drops on delicate petals.

9. Dan Levy in Loewe.

Business on top, party on the bottom. This tailored ombré look was perfectly on theme.

10. Rebecca Hall in Danielle Frankel.

She invokes a sweet, pastel flower bed.

11. Anna Wintour in Loewe.

Classic and clean lines are par for the course for Wintour. The jacket perfected her look.

12. Zendaya in Maison Margiela Couture.

She’s giving peacock vibes in these jewel tones.

13. Tyla and Her Balmain Sand Dress Had to Be Carried Up the Met Gala 2024 Steps. The singer wore a Balmain gown created by the label’s artistic director Olivier Rousteing, sculpted based on a cast of her body and then created out of three different colors of sand and micro-crystal studs to add sparkle to every minute movement.

14. Gabrielle Union-Wade in Michael Kors.

Union looked like a mermaid on land in this beautiful creation.

15. Cardi B shut down the Met Gala in this show stopping Giambattista Valli gown.

Her dress was the biggest to ever appear on the steps of the Met Gala and made it impossible for anyone to go up them while she was posing.

What was your favorite look from this year?
