Coachella: Music Festival or Fashion Show?

Gallery

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was founded in 1999.

It wasn’t always the fashion spectacle we see today.

Coachella fashion has evolved from band tshirts and jean shorts to meticulously curated ‘costumes’ to appear free-spirited and causal, which totally misses the point.

But I’ve got to admit, I love the boho looks these girls and guys are pulling!

Let’s take a look at some of my favorite outfits from Coachella ‘26.

Starting with Queen Paris Hilton bringing back Y2K.

Lots of white gauze and lace.

Love this sheer piece with the dramatic peach ruffles!

This cream corset can be recreated for a fun ‘going out’ look.

Adding a crochet poncho to any outfit makes it fun and trendy.

These pieces can be worn together or separate and work well outside of a festival setting.

There were streetwear looks I loved.

Of course I love all the color!!!

My favorite look from 2026 is…

This is such a ‘Carrie Bradshaw’ look. So of course it’s my favorite!

What’s your top choices from this years Coachella?

Down The Rabbit Hole: CLT Shout Fashion

Gallery

🐇 I followed a white rabbit today thru the streets of uptown Charlotte.

He stopped at 400 S Tryon and darted inside. I followed him in.

I asked the Cheshire Cat which way I should go.

He replied “As long as you walk long enough, you are sure to get somewhere.”

I slipped down the rabbit hole. And quickly spotted the rabbit.

🎩He was talking with the Mad Hatter and I joined them at their tea party.

The Wonders that laid ahead were magical.

⏱️Despite the Rabbit and I being late, the Tea Party was a success.

🦩Well, until the croquet match with the Queen❤️.

Will White gathered local designers for CLT Shout festivals fashion exhibit.

The designers nailed it with the Alice In Wonderland theme.

Stop by and check them out. Shout will continue thru April 19.

Galliano and Zara

Gallery

John Galliano has designed for not only his own label, but powerhouses such as Dior, Givenchy and Maison Margiela.

Galliano left Maison Margiela in December 2024 after a highly successful 10-year tenure as creative director.

Last month it was announced he would be joining the Spanish brand Zara.

Initiated by Zara’s chair, Marta Ortega Pérez, this deal aims to elevate Zara’s market position, blending high-fashion theatricality with accessible retail.

He is not coming as creative director. Nor to relaunch a line.

He is coming in as “creative partner.”

Galliano will deconstruct and reconstruct Zara’s past collections to create new, higher-end seasonal pieces, marking a major shift in luxury-meets-fast-fashion collaboration.

His plan includes curating and re-designing pieces from Zara’sarchive, rather than starting from scratch.

The first drop scheduled for September 2026.

Thoughts on this???

I love Zara. And I love Galliano. But will I love them together? Only time will tell.

Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking…

Miranda Priestly may not approve. However, I’m in love with this look I created!

The beautiful weather inspired me to head uptown Charlotte for a spring photo shoot.

This mural echoes the colors in my ensemble.

I couldn’t wait to style my bubble gum pink Marc Jacobs purse I scored from Ross Dress for Less!

I added a pink tank from Walmart in the same, fun pink.

My wide leg jeans from It’s Fashion Metro dresses the look down some.

Tons of pearls were a must.

I always love to look at life through rose colored glasses so of course, the Versace sunnies!

My floral blazer, also from It’s Fashion Metro, tied the look together.

I made the outfit more casual by finishing the look with my TikTok viral Adidas sneakers from Costco. $26!!!!

And of course, the cherry on top, an oversized flower pin.

This outfit is budget friendly lux and it’s FUN!
