Glow Girl Cafe celebrated Mean Girls Day on October 3!

The date was established by movie fans based on Lindsey Lohan’s famous line “On October 3, he asked me what day it was.”

I had been wanting to visit this girly coffee/jewelry shop since it opened.

Being a Mean Girls fan I wasn’t missing this chance.

I donned my ‘Get in Loser, we’re going shopping’ graphic Tshirt, pink cardigan, and pink accessories and headed that way.

The spot was so cute and on theme with pink walls, stickers, balloons and the movie was projected onto the wall!!

The drinks were decorated on top with movie quotes photo foam.

The Burn Book displayed Polaroid photos.

I had the ‘She’s Toasted’ from their new fall menu.

She’s a pink marshmallow latte that’s sweet, soft, and just the right amount of toasted.

Think cozy campfire energy: but make it girly!

We also got girly cake pops to take home!

How cute was this invite??!!

You don’t have to go on a Wednesday but you should definitely wear pink!

Designer Lainey Volz strolled by with a clothing rack headed into Charlotte Seen Fashion Week and I caught a glimpse of polka dots peaking out of a garment bag.

I was immediately intrigued.

Lainey brought a sense of whimsy to the runway.

These looks are fresh and playful and was giving Brittany Murphy from Uptown Girls vibes.

She is definitely one of my favorite designers of the week!

Hand painted dresses, fun buttons and of course, polka dots dominated the collection.

I spoke with the designer and learned more about her and her designs.

“The collection is titled ‘Oh the Places You’ll Go’ and is inspired by Dr. Seuss’s book of the same name.”

I, myself, have always loved this book and I can see the inspiration!

“The collection heavily features my original paintings printed onto fabric. The paintings and designs are inspired by pivotal places in my life and where I hope to go, literally and figuratively! The collection is 100% handmade by myself and took 100s of hours of work.”

Vibrant pinks sealed the deal with me. She’s a girls girl indeed.

Special thank you to photographer David Andrews for these incredible photos and to Charlotte Seen for allowing me to be a part of the team.
